Good beer, mediocre food. Ok I give up. The beer selection here is great but the several food items i have tried over the past year have been mediocre at best and sometimes just plain awful. The corned beef and cabbage was slimy sliced deli corned beef. Their pizza is obviously frozen and is best left that way. The hamburger is huge but was dry and the lettuce leaf looked like the bartender had been sitting on it. The shepherds pie is ok if it has been thawed before they serve it.On the bright side their wings and the chips are pretty good and they have a couple of dozen tv’s going.
Good food, but cook clean???. As we entered the pub, we spotted the cook/chef outside, leaning his bare arm and hand against a filthy garbage can, while he smoked. Our concern is this…..did he go in and wash his arms and hands up to his elbows before he entered the prep area? Did his filthy clothes, that rubbed against the garbage can, rub against anything in the prep or cooking area? This sight just took away our appetites, so we ended up picking at our crackers and bread, paying, and leaving. Not sure we will go back, unless they move the garbage away from the door where most customers enter, and keep the chef away from it! Those cans were so gross, and have been handled by garbage handlers galore.
Had the best burger I’ve had in years, unfortunately, had the worst service I’ve ever experienced. My buddy and I were both blown away and had to ask each other if it was really happening. Awkward, rude, confusing, unhelpful are words that come to mind.
Community place :). Great service, surprisingly creative food for a pub, and great community support – all in a beautiful location 🙂
Terrible, rude service at the rivertowne location. Patronize the other great restaurants in mount pleasant and don’t waste your time here.
Not a good neighbor. Obrions is allowing their patrons to park on the side walk. I have watched small children on bikes and mothers with strollers have to travel in the middle of the road because Obrions allows parking on the side walk and in the green. If you are going there remember, plenty of parking in the back.
Food is no good. Rewis is the coolest and the after hours scene Is the best!!!
