Great Dog!. When traveling I often transfer flights in Chicago and always have a hot dog (all the way) at one of the Vienna Beef carts in the terminal.Skoogies are every bit as good and authentic. Same poppy seed bun. Same huge dog. Same toppings. Very pleased to find a real Chicago style hot dog in the Charleston area.

2013 Skoogies remains the best hot dog in Charleston Metro. .. They don’t pay a PR firm nor advertise nor butter up reviewers with free food .. Flat out the best17 Mar, 2013Freshly made and it all tastes that way .. Proprietor Jeff tries hard to please, to include great toppings .. THIS place is the orig local real deal and they do not use a paid PR firm like that fake Hwy 17 North imitator. Skoogies fries are soooo good too ! Try the Reuben if you are ready for one if the best local sandwiches.
I have heard great things but when I walked in, I did not understand the fuss. Not to mention it is quite off the beaten path and in an awkward spot. It is also tight inside. We ordered two chili wreckers and ate them and we sufficiently full but didn’t feel right about leaving without another one to go!
BEST HOTDOGS IN THE WORLD. My husband and I consider ourselves hot dog experts. We love them and will eat them anytime and anywhere! By far this place has the best we have ever tasted. The bread is perfectly steamed with poppy seeds on it. The fries are perfectly cooked and served with malt vinegar. Their seasoned fries are great, as well! If this place ever goes out of business I think I’ll die! We drive all the way from Goose Creek just to eat here!

Disappointing. We went based on the reviews, but we were terribly diappointed. We both had a hot dog and fries. The hot dog was like rubber and the fries had the taste of old fryer oil. The space inside is cramped and felt dirty. The workers were very nice and they were generous with the fries, but that isn’t enough to bring us back.
