Could be better. I live in the neighborhood and have been to the The Square Onion several time. The food is good, though to my mind overpriced. A baguette costs over $4.00, about 50% more than Whole Foods charges. My main quibble with the owners, though, is that that won’t give you a glass of water with your food if you ask for it. Heaven forbid they actually set out an urn full of water the way they do for iced tea and let you fill your glass.
A Quaint Place with Artisan Sandwiches. Nestled off the main drag in the I’on neighborhood lies Square Onion. We got there about 5 til noon on a Thursday to beat the lunch rush and we’re glad we did as soon after we got in line, the queue was out the door. Seeing this made me happy as it proved that it was a great find. I had the Meredith on a baguette, which had turkey with brie cheese, with cranberry horseradish sauce, lettuce and tomato. I also had a side of edamame salad that was lightly marinaded. For dessert, I had trouble deciding due to the choices, but ended up with a buckeye (chocolate covered peanut butter ball). I highly recommend this place and I’ll definitely be frequenting this gem again!

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!. I go to the Square Onion in the I’On Community every time I am in town. It’s spectacular!!! I try something new and nothing disappoints. Salads, Sandwiches, Desserts, OH MY!!! YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY!! 🙂
