Always packed, but a guy almost threw up on us.. Even though I live right down the street, I’ve never eaten here. It seems more like a VERY NOISY bar than restaurant. We tried to eat there once, and while we we going in a guy came out and vomited over the railing. He was really drunk and apologized, but I’ve never gone back because of that.
Good food, good people. I admit the first time we went there it was crazy. The servers could not handle the very crowded conditions. The food we got was delicious. The fried pickles and okra , the best I ever had. The Southern Rolls were very original and delicious, pulled pork and collard greens in an egg roll. I noticed several other local restaurants are serving rolls very similar. We have been back many times and the service has always been superb. The food is always good. The weekend brunch and the dinner specials are a wonderful addition to the Shelter.
Great great great service but the food was awful. Wristbands were being handed out when we finished dinner – appears to be more of a wild bar than a restaurant with good food. I would not recommend eating here.
Best atmosphere for nightlife crowd. TERRIBLE food!! Drink there, don’t eat there. Always super crowded.
Yuck!! Gross!! Dropped 70 bucks for something that could have been defrosted at home. Totally not worth it.
Food was not that good and manager lacked customer service skills. Not impressed at all!
