The service is always good and they always seem to flaunt the chef’s PhD, but when it comes down to it, I don’t taste aunthenticity in their food. It’s definitely a nice date joint, but I’d rather go to a hole-in-the-wall and eat well! Also, the portions aren’t that great and it’s overpriced.
I’ve eaten at dozens of Thai restaurants…Blue Elephant was good but not great. Prices were a little high, but if your looking for Thai in Myrtle Beach then this may be your only bet.
Great Thai. Not much to look at on the outside, we drove by this wonderful restaurant on numerous occasions before finally stopping in and wow, are we glad we stopped! Great curry dishes, speciality Thai dinners..al very authentic! Beautiful presentations and china….and accompanied by a beautiful young lady playing a Thai stringed instrument. Be sure to try the Thai ice tea and end your meal with the fried bananas and homemade coconut ice cream!
Authentic Thai. Don’t let the small look fool you. Everything I’ve had here is just like what I’ve eaten in Phuket. My favorite is the Tom Kha Gai and the stick rice. Mmmm… Everything here is so fresh and delicious. I love that the chef grinds his curry fresh daily too. The service is always so good too.
Amazing Thai. This is an amazing Thai restaurant! We’ve never had a dish here that we didn’t like, but I prefer the Pad Thai. This is a very small place with only a dozen or so tables.
..Authentic and awesome… The Blue Elephant has become one of my favorite places to eat. I recommend the crispy duck entree (2) and a bowl of coconut ice cream to cool your mouth down. Dont forget to make reservations because only a couple of tables are seated at a time (there is a small staff).
