Semi-Filipino. From the name you would expect Athena’s to be a Greek restaurant. However, it is named for the owner/cook, a very nice Filipino lady named Athena. I had hoped for a more extensive Filipino menu, but there were only three Filipino items on the menu — Chicken Bihon, Palabok, and Lumpia (an appetizer — basically a Filipino egg roll), Other than that the menu was very normal. I would have like more, such as Crispy Pata or Lechon, and Filipino deserts such as Leche Flan and Halo-Halo. I ordered the Chicken Bihon, and was very happy with the meal. There is no Filipino restaurant in the Myrtle Beach area, and I was a bit disappointed that this one did not have a more extensive Filipino menu.
