Simply one of the best Restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure to dine at. Service was superb, and there is only one word to describe my meal, i.e. AMBROSIA. I had the Chicken Cordon Bleu: . The food was excellent. The spatzel and gravy was very good as well as the Weiner schnitzel. I would also recommend the soup, both times I have visited there, they were delicious. Note the address is 1604 north kings blvd.
Oh yes, German. The food is like my grandmother used to make…the spatzel and gravy was wonderful…not thick gravy but a nice complimentry kind to add to the taste of the food…the Viener snitzel was light and not coated over like you get in some places…it was lightly coated and the veal was tender…the place is very small and we felt like we were sitting on the next table’s laps but by the end of the meal we were all enjoying the company so it worked out well…the service is a little fast but they had people waiting for tables and no place to stand…we will return and bring more people…we already tell those from out of town to go there but get a reservation…
Not great. We had been here a bit better than a year ago and it was great, gluten free spatzle included! This time, waited all week to get in, and no gluten free spatzle even though it’s still on their webpage but they don’t do them, and the GF crepes were terrible, like made who knows when and frozen. Would not recommend this restaurant any more. Very disappointed.

Perfect!. I have wanted to try Cafe Old Vienna for over a year. Finally made it in yesterday for my birthday lunch and it was wonderful. The service did seem a little rushed but I understand. The small place was packed! My little guy and I split the Styria Plate and some spaetzle and gravy. The schnitzel was perfect. My son loved the schnitzel and the spaetzle. The bratwurst was pretty good but it was cut in half and grilled. I just prefer mine whole so they stay juicy. The star of the show was the apple studel. I rarely order dessert, and I was already stuffed from lunch but I ate the entire apple strudel. It was unbelievable. We also ordered a lemon cake to go b/c that is my son’s fave. He ate it last night and loved it. The atmosphere and the food is worth the drive from Murrells Inlet – we will be back 🙂
