Definetely the best reastaurant in Myrtle Beach. Food was very tasty and the price is not bad. Thanks Alena for your service, everything was awesome!
Best seafood buffet in Myrtle Beach, SC ! Very delicious and fresh food! Decor was beautiful! The service was great ! I strongly recommend you to visit this restaurant Captain Benjamin’s Calabash Seafood. Can’t wait to go again!!!
Make sure you’re at the right restaurant when visiting a Benjamins Calabash! We arrived here today thinking this was a satellite version of the Original Benjamins Calabash buffet but we were sooooo wrong. After oaying $29/per person for the buffet, not including drink, we were horribly dissatisfied with the buffet offerings. There was very little fresh seafood – half of the mussels and clams were still closed (a clear indication that they are bad), there were only tiny fried popcorn shrimp as the shrimp choice, and the fried swordfish was the equivalent of fish jerky. The crab legs were overcooked and we watched employees unloading boxes of frozen crab legs. A restaurant on the4 beach can’t provide fresh crab?!? Terrible. Everything was over produced and poor quality. Would not recommend!!
At $25 per person it should have been great food but it was very poor quality. Dried out, overcooked, just bad overall. No refills. Wouldn’t go back.
First time and the last. Food was not hot. Fried scallops were nothing but breading. Skip it. High priced at $29 99.Golden corral is much better.
Horrible. This is the worst food I have ever had in Myrtle Beach.. Overpriced, overcooked .. Clam chowder not ready.. This is a seafood restaurant. Why wouldn’t clam chowder be ready all the time. When it finally arrived it was cold. Chicken soup had chunks of chicken so big, you had to cut them to eat them and the broth was nothing but warm water.the whole experience from start to finish was awful.
Save your money!. Definitely a huge disappointment, considering the price! Fried foods were swimming in grease, shrimp were so tough they were inedible, and most items were way over seasoned. Oysters Rockefeller weren’t too bad, and the salad fixings were fresh. This was my first trip to Benjamin’s, and for sure won’t go back. The smaller Calabash buffets are more to my liking.
