I was so disappointed in Carolina Roadhouse this year. We’ve eaten here for years each time we come to myrtle beach and we’ve always loved every single item we’ve ordered. This time it was not good at all. The croissants were the only thing we liked as well as usual. The potato soup, shrimp, and even the salad were just blah. For the first time ever, we won’t be making a second annual trip.
Super long wait to get in for just average food. I can’t understand how in the middle of the summer you get salads with lettuce that isn’t green and pale red tomatos. Fried food was very greasy and heavy. Prices were moderate but certainly not worth the wait.
I have eaten here nearly every visit to Myrtle Beach and have yet to leave disappointed. The rolls and house salads are enough to bring me in, absolutely delicious. You do have to pay for extra rolls, but they are worth the money, fluffy croissants with some kind of honey glaze. The manager was spectacular. My steak was a bit over cooked. He personally brought out a fresh one and took it off my bill without me giving any complaint. Love the food and love the service.
Fun atmosphere! It was very busy on a Sunday night with a 30 minute wait. My friend and I went to the bar to wait and had a beer. Ended up ordering an appetizer because the wait was so long and we were ravenous. The onion rings with blue cheese sauce were not impressive. We were intending on ordering steaks, but with the extended wait, we wanted quick burgers and fries. Absolutely delicious! The server was attentive, anticipated our needs, and our food was brought out by someone else, presumably to deliver it quickly. Busy place with lots of good moods in the room!
Bostonians on vacation in MB. Very pleased with our stop at Carolina Roadhouse. Mandy, our waitress, was top notch. The house salad was one of the best I’ve had( mind you, I needed to specify no chopped eggs- it seemed to be on all salads and in most dressings ) served with honeyed croissants , dynamite!! The house Pinot Noir was very good and reasonably priced. My son loved his ribs, I got the house steak, cooked to my liking, with dressed potato.excellent. Restaurant busy for a Monday so probably need reservations on weekends. We’ll be back
Not sure where the great rating comes from.. We’ve eaten here the last two years on our vacation. We decided to try it a second time due to proximity to our resort. Each time I’ve been underwhelmed. I’m not gonna go into great detail because this place doesn’t require it. It’s average in every way. Nothing is great. Nothing is terrible. The food is bland and inspiring. There are much better choices in Myrtle Beach and much worse. I won’t dine here again, only because I’m here for great…not average.
