Just had an amazing dinner and dessert! The dishes we ordered were She Crab soup and French onion soup and the clam appetizer. All were flavorful and totally fresh. For our entrees we tried the ribeye, stuffed chicken and homemade pasta and peach glazed flounder. Steak was cooked to perfection and all of the entrees were amazing. Dessert was equally as good. Had macaroons and cannoli and topped off the meal with delicious cappuccino. Service was totally efficient and friendly. Enjoyed this meal from start to finish. Don’t miss this place. DELICIOUS!!@
Seriously, how does this place not have a perfect 5? It’s off the beaten path a little, so it doesn’t get a lot of people riding by, which was a nice change of pace. It was obvious this is not a secret to locals because most of the people there were locals. We made reservations for 7:45 on a Friday, and there were a couple 2 top tables open, but I’d recommend reservations to be safe. Food: holy moly, the she-crab soup was so creamy and delicious that I almost picked up the bowl to lick it clean! Then my husband got the scallops, which have 6 perfectly cooked ON A STRIP OF BACON, a perfectly crispy flat piece of bacon!! It was impressive and he said he will never eat scallops without it! He was full afterwards and he usually doesn’t fill up on scallop entres. I got the special that night, which was lobster, mussels and grouper on spinach risotto– amazing! It was creamy, but not too heavy with huge chunks of lobster and grouper. My only complaint was that 2 of the 5 mussels weren’t open. I still cannot wrap my head around how a chef actually placed 2 closed muscles on a plate that went to a guest! They were on top as part of the presentation, so it was obvious. Other than that the food and presentation was spot-on and beautiful. Dessert: um it’s a bakery! Yes please! We got the Napoleon, which was a double layer massive strawberry mousse-like Napoleon. I’ve never had one like that. My husband got the cannoli and macarons, which were both delicious. We picked this place for our last night in town, and we are so glad! Rachel was our server and she was great. The servers and host were attentive and helpful. Casual fine dining atmosphere. Highly highly recommend. Best meal on vacation, and honestly some of the best food we have ever had and we are food obsessed people!
Went there for brunch on Saturday! We had no reservation so they put our name on a list. Later another couple came in without a reservation and a girl greeted them and sat them down while we were still standing there waiting. Talk about disorganization!! The food was average at best and the prices were high. Not worth the price go to a pancake house and get just as good food at less than half the price. Highly over rated !!
Not Good. Quiche for lunch was hard and flavorless. The pasta salad recipe was changed for the worse and the croissant was dry. The squash soup had little flavor and was NOT topped by croutons…. instead peices stale of croissant. Horridble. The lemon cake was the only thing that was decent…cake good too much icing.. I waited for 20 minutes to get a table. Place is too small. The lunch was overpirced. Used to go there when they had old location and visiting..
Prepare for a long wait. We have eaten here on previous trips to Myrtle Beach. The food is wonderful, I have no complaints regarding the food. my problem is with there seating of the diner wait list. The host does not seat who is next in line, he seats much more randomly. Example, we were the next table of four needing seated based on the list of people waiting. However once the table was bussed he sat a party of two who had just arrived and sat us almost ten minutes later at another table of four. We were not the only waiting party of diners who were seated in this way and they were also unhappy. This wait was almost an hour once we ordered we waited another thirty minutes for our food. Ugh, I may not go back on my next trip down.
Great date spot!. Went here with my husband for a date night and it was amazing – what a find! The service was exceptional and the food was amazing – LOVED the peach arugula salad, crab soup, pad thai, and the chocolate mousse cake is to die for! Great ambiance as well 🙂
Overall great place for brunch. Enjoyed it very much! The Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake makes the 3 hour drive to Myrtle Beach worth every mile. Husband (the picky eater of us two) had the B.E.L.T. and he said it was very delicious! I had the Shrimp and Grits and was surprised by how creamy the grits were and the delicious fried green tomato (shrimp needed more cleaning for sure though). The muffins were outstanding! Looking forward to a long weekend to make the trip back, and hopefully grab some of those baked goods they had up for offer.
