Average food, subpar service.. This was one of the lesser dining experiences that I’ve had in the Myrtle Beach area. I had taken my mother and nephew to the beach, and we were looking for a place that was less crowded but decent. We didn’t find that at the Great American Steak & Buffet. The food was average at best (the Shoney’s had been a good bit better earlier in the week) and overpriced for what it was. That in and of itself would have been par for the course for the area, but our waitress, who seemed nice and lively, spent more time honing her rapport with what were obviously her regular customers, while our glasses went dry. There are better places to eat, so I’ll avoid this one in the future.
