I was hoping our meal here would be good as the commercials make it look amazing. I ordered the new fried Maine lobster. It came with cheese grits, an ear of corn and garlic bread. The corn was the best thing on my plate. it was quite good. The lobster bites were of varying size and u won’t complain about the quantity, however, the panko breading completely overpowers the lobster taste. I could have been eating fried anything and not known what it was. The cheese grits had very little sausage in them… almost none. DH ordered one of the crab pots. WARNING… the actual meals look nothing like what you get. I know the restaurant can’t help the advertising but the company should at least try a little harder to make the reality match slightly. His good was good overall but nothing spectacular. We each ordered one of the moonshine drinks. DH the moonshine punch. Me, the moonshine tea. His was awesome. Mine…meh. I’m not really sure if it was the liquor, the tea (maybe it was instant), or the agave but it was really bitter. I will say that the Great Balls of Fire we had for an appetizer were amazing. Overall, I wouldn’t waste money coming here again.
We ordered the crab dip, which was great! However my dinner, shrimp and fish was less than appetizing. No flavor and kind of gooey?! I have mixed feelings because there were $2 mixed drinks so it could have been worse!
$28 bucket good… $49 bucket was horrible. Lobster was rubber, clams did not open and corn was unbeatable. Manager made good by bringing us a be lobster and clams. Second try was good. I would give it a 75% overall.

Not what we expected. We always make Joe’s a stop when we vacation in Myrtle Beach. The past times there were no complaints, but this time, it seemed as if everything was precooked and reheated. We bought 2 steampots; the KJ and the Original. The potatos were cold, there was only 1 sausage and 2 ears of corn. Normally you would have to wait for these to cool down hence the steampot, but my 3 1/2 year old reach right in and grabbed an ear of corn. Hopefully this was a one time deal, because we really enjoy eating a Joe’s.
Loved the meal and atmosphere. Highly recoomend it.
Great atmosphere! Fun place to go on vacation the servers dance and have fun! Our service was awesome. The food (crab legs, fish n chips, coconut shrimp) was all to die for! MustGo if you have never been!
