Great food, but freezing inside the building! Good variety of sauces, meat had a lot of flavor. Hush puppies were delicious & sweet tea was perfect! Carry out may be the best option.
Decent Food but poor service. Went in late last night to pick up food for dinner. Owner shook his head as if yet another customer before closing time. They were out of containers for take out BBQ sauce. When I asked for something to carry some home the owner snapped to the worker his finish this order first? Good BBQ and typical fried offerings. I have been several times and never feel like the ownership appreciates the business. Simple things like a clean place to eat and friendly service are a must. There are plenty of other places on the beach to get as good or better BBQ with better atmosphere.
Diamond in the Rough. On a golfing trip and looking for Q. I told my buddy the best BBQ is from a hole in the wall joint in or very near a gas station (theory works great in Alabama). Out of the blue is a non-descript sign with big letters BBQ at the end of a little strip mall anchored by a gas station. Had to go in. The decor is early cold war, but I don;t want money wasted on decor. Little Pigs delivers. Golf trip was a long 6 days and I ate here 3 days and missed closing time on a 4th. It takes a yankee a while to warm up to vinegar based sauce then watch out. Food was great and the friendly staff helpful and entertaining. No decor but it was very clean. Big bottles of their sauces await your plates of pork, Sides great, Far from the MB tourist trap. A great find.
Some if the best if not the best if pulled pork i’ve ever eaten. Moist with great flavor even without any sauce. The baked beans great & the cole slaw my wife said was better then hers. You know that’s good when a woman admits that. The hush puppies crip outside abd chewy on tge inside
Well I decided to visit Little Pigs BBQ following a night of rough and tough drinking over at Celebrity Square; but more importantly Sr. Frogs and Club There (or Ayerr or Bayer or Hair as the southern gentleman who gave us directions had a thick southern draw). Little pigs but big flavor. I was quite delighted. The Pork platter is the way to go! I added the Vinegar sauce along with the Mustard. Both went perfectly with Hot pork. I see people dissing this place on the decor…this is a BBQ joint not a BBQ restaurant. Get over it. The focus is on cooking that suckling pork. I can’t say this is the best pork ever but it’s damn good.
Great place for BBQ. Not fancy just good value. Cole slaw very good too.
