Great Spot in The Market Common.. The Roasted BeanThe Roasted Bean bursts of fresh flavorful breakfast and lunch cafe fare, regardless of its cozy nearly missed location in Market Common. You are greeted by a peaceful idyllic sidewalk cafe complete with handwritten daily specials next to the door. Upon entering the Roasted Bean you are given a warm welcome by the Weeden family. The atmosphere created by the display of fresh bakery items, original artwork and creative decor gives a sincerely personal reprieve from the busy outside world. We tried the daily special, which consisted of a veggie quiche and small coffee. We also had a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese and avocado with a house-made iced coffee. The veggie quiche was perfectly seasoned and filled with mushrooms, broccoli, shallots, red peppers, and of course eggs and cheese. The smell of the crust was sensational and the flavor which followed was delicious. The combination of avocado, cream cheese and salt from the everything bagel flowed together seamlessly. The coffee was very fresh as the Weeden’s roast their own beans. As the rain continued to pour down, the owner offered to escort us to our car with his umbrella. The coffee, food and atmosphere shines thanks to the Weeden’s kindness.
