Some of the best authentic Italian food I have ever had! The Fra Diavlo is sooooo good. I also recommend the home made chocolate cake I will definitely come back here on the next family vacation.
I’m GF and its always hard to find places that offer gf pastas so I was excited to hear they did. They were so knowledgeable and accommodating. The food was awesome & portions were huge. The decor was beautiful & the staff was very nice. My husband & I will definitely be back during future trips to the area.
On business, based on comments, I tried Toscano. On a call, drive up to the place, knew it was in strip mall, so not surprised. Looked inside, no patrons, but at this point, no turning back. Sit down and ordered a beer and app based on limited conversation with waitress and her suggestion. Huge plate of mozzarella and tomato combo that was spectacular. By the time I finished, I was full, but app was so good, had to try something To Go.Didn’t get too creative, ordered spaghetti with meatballs and sausage. Never looked at it, just paid and headed to hotel. Opened bag and it too was huge, big enough for two meals at home, not so much so on road. Spaghetti with bolognese sauce was heavy on meat sauce, not something I was expecting. Honestly, not big fan of flavor a, but such a pleasure, guessing it was true Italian, not what I grew up with in West Ga. Yes, I’m blaming my taste buds for a one time dining experience at an establishment I’ve never frequented. If it makes you feel better, the sausage and meatballs were as good as the app!So? If your traveling, think before ordering an app unless your appetite is as big as your stomach. Local? Hope you liked the dinner because you’re likely having for lunch! . Only complaint? No utensils! I forgive her this one time.
We weren’t expecting to find the most wonderful Italian food on our vacation. Everything we had here was absolutely incredible. I will vacation again here just because of this place and a few others!
We enjoyed our dinner here. The atmosphere was pleasant and the food was very good. Good service as well.
Chicken Piccata. Chicken was great better then the one I make and I thought it was really good until I tasted Toscana’s at Mertle Beach
It lives up to the hype. Bread was great, veal saltimbocca great, Gorgonzola Acosta w chicken was great, wine list was typical cheapest was 28 bucks. Highly recommended.
