Anna Bell’s is close to where I work and I frequently go here for lunch. The Chef salad is very good. The staff is very friendly, even though they are running around serving customers. In fact, it’s about time for me to call in my lunch order now……
Excellent food every time our group of ladies go! Always fresh and they are always on top of their A game to bring out the best food. It a little place but the food is packed with flavor. There is not one thing I have gotten that was not good.
Cheap and a DRY eat!. I ordered the lunch special which was a chick quesadilla and it was OK. The meat was a little dry, but there was plenty of food to go around. Times eaten there: 1Average Seating time: InstantAtmosphere: Small place, but enough space to stretch the legsDecoration: Industrial CafeStaff: Polite and busyFood: 2 / 5On a good note the sweet tea was good. I will return to hopefully boost my rating of this convenient spot.
Delicious. I have eaten here multiple times and no matter what I order it has always beaten my expectations. The hefty fried chicken sandwich (and the occasional variants offered as specials) is to die for. The daily blue plate specials are huge servings of some of the best home cooked food you’ll find in Chucktown.
Delicious!. We happened upon Anna Bell’s because we had an appointment nearby but needed breakfast first. This cafe is located in a refurbished warehouse in the shipyard in North Charleston. We were AMAZED at how good our breakfast was! And inexpensive. My dish was a little unusual, which I also appreciated. I had the Rockville Bene which was poached eggs with grits and shrimp, served with corn and pepper fritters (little pancakes) and a yummy cajun cream sauce and sweet tomato compote. I ate EVERY bite! We’ll be back!
Food was OK, but not the service.. I’ve been to Anna Bell’s several times since they opened and each time I’ve hoped it would be better than the last, but it just hasn’t happened. I got a burger and some hush puppies, while my girlfriend got a burger and a soda. The total came to $22, which seems a little steep, but for great food and great service, it would be worth it. Too bad the service was awful. It took nearly 25 minutes to get our food once we ordered. I had asked for no tomatoes on my burger, but since the server didn’t bother to write down our order, he failed to get it right. We weren’t given silverware, so I had to go to the front register and ask for some since the server practically ignored us throughout the visit.I can’t recommend this restaurant. It just isn’t worth the money.
Get what you pay for. Service was fine. The food that I had was pretty average. Fried Okra with ranch dressing dipper was fried well but nothing stellar, I did like that it had more of a light coating instead of a heavy cornmeal coating. The meatloaf was average and the rice and limas that came with it were just OK. The nice thing was the price, $8 for all of that and a drink.
