Best fried chicken!. Frist time there. Great food. Delicious fried chicken-best I’ve had in Charleston area. Okra soup was delicious too.My husband said that it was the best cornbread he’d had.Very nice people who operate it. Going back.
Just like Grandmas. Love this place! Berthas is a small, hole in the wall place with limited parking and a brisk take out business. We had fried chicken, gumbo soup, red and white rice, collard greens, string beans, mac and cheese and of course, corn bread. All wonderful. The fried chicken is very chrispy which I like. Mac and cheese and corn bread are fantastic. Definitely worth a try!
