This place use to be a great little hole in the wall joint to eat at. My wife and I have eaten there a few times a month since we got here in 2006. Breck’s was well kept secret for the locals. A place with good food and fun customer service for a reasonable price. Sadly, that is no longer the case. The overall quality of customer service and food has dropped significantly. Not only that, they keep raising their prices so that the value once enjoyed by all their loyal patrons has seemingly disappeared. I can only guess that this is happening because of poor management, and the fact that the owners insist on opening other locations that continue to fail. All good things must end, and if this keeps up Breck’s will put themselves right out of business. I for one say good riddance.
Decent food, large portions, good prices. I ordered a 12oz sirloin, baked potatoe, and collard greens. I ordered the steak med-rare and it came a little more rare than medium, which wasn’t a big deal. The steak had ZERO seasoning, not even salt and pepper, again not a show stopper, but a disappointment. The potato was plain and they gave me butter(or margarine) and sour cream in the small packages, no mention if I could have ordered it loaded with bacon bits, cheese, etc. I didn’t ask though, so it might be available. Next, the collards….well, no seasoning there as well. No onions, bacon, salt and pepper. Salad was iceberg, onions, and grape tomatoes. Then I ordered carrot cake. Cake was homemade and great, although I would’ve liked a little more cream cheese frosting. My bill was less than $20. So I would say, if you’re looking for a place to eat that’s cheap, Brecks hits the mark.

I ordered the steak tips which automatically come with mash potatoes. When they brought out my food (an hour and 10mins after we ordered) they let me know they were out of mashed potatoes. I was then asked what I wanted instead. So now I have my steak and no sides. I go to eat my steak tips and they are cold. So I them wait for ten minutes for another waitress to bring me my new side to let her know my steak is cold because my waitress was too busy cleaning her section and basically ignoring every one. They take my steak to heat it up and when they bring it back it was still cold. My husbands chicken was cold too. This place had horrible service and horrible customer service. There is no communication between servers and no friendly faces. When we went to pay, the ticket seemed really high for two adults and one child. So I asked the cashier to see the ticket. She immediately got an attitude so I just said forget it. The bathrooms were also so disgusting that my 5 year old wouldn’t use the potty. I will never go back!
Gracious! It’s been a few years since I ate here and it was exactly like it was then. Fabulous!!! I usually get the chicken cordon bleu and it never disappoints! Bf got the wings and he said it was the best wings he has ever had, crispy but not greasy at all and full of favor. This place doesn’t look great not fancy at all. But the portions are huge!! And a great price!! This place will not disappoint you or your wallet.
Not sure why this place got rave reviews. If you are looking for a decent steak, find a chain restaurant and it will be better. Portion size is the only plus.
My husband and I ate at Brecks recently and were very impressed with the food and the service. Our waitress was Linda and she was probably the friendliest waitress we have ever had! Our burgers were delicious and the honey mustard was the best I’ve ever tasted! The food would probably be enough to bring us back but the combination of good food an excellent service guarantees our return! We are definitely asking to be seated in Linda’s section every time!
Competition Chili. Had some of the award winning chili and it was some of the best I’ve had. I would definitely go back. Prices are very reasonable.
