Terrible experience. My husband and I made a reservation for our 5th year wedding anniversary. As soon as we walked in there were two people and a group of people on the party room. The place was almost empty for a high end restaurant.We started at a salad bar and everything they had there looked gross and old, so ended up not getting from there and we were hoping that the meat would be at least worth it. We waited for good 10 mins until someone approach us and offer us some meat. I kid you not everything they had were the worst food ever that I almost wanted to throw up. We could tell that meat weren’t fresh before they grolled it and no flavor at all.my husband and i just kept looking at each other and shaking our heads. My husband and I couldn’t stand staying there anymore so we asked for the check and our waiter didn’t even looked shock nor asked if everything was okay. Maybe because it has always been that way there. We just moved here from Texas and we’ve always gone to Fogo de Chao and Tradica and never been disappointed like this before. Paying $100 for two people you expect it to be the best or at least good. We will never go there again and definitely will NOT recommended it to anybody unless or until they improve their cooking skills!
Not up to par…. I eat at this same brand name in Spartanburg, SC. I had bragged on it and while visiting Charleston, I told my friend we should eat at this place. The place was clean but a lot of confusion with the wait staff. The meat was very slow to come around. I am a slow eater and not such a problem, but my friend was sitting, waiting for the next presentation. I told him that Spartanburg was more frequent on their presentations and availability. The meat was over-cooked for both of us. We asked for some filet mignon medium rare. It looked great, but was tough and flavorless. I was embarrassed that I had bragged it up so much. My friend also pointed out that he did not see some meats be brought around. I asked him if he would go back and he said, More than likely not.
Never again. Me and my wife are from Columbia so we eat at that location all the time love the staff and the food there its amazing i came down to Charleston last week and decided to give this location a try…… well let me start off by saying i walked in and me and my wife just stood there for a good 5 min before someone actually acknowledged us so we got seated and they explained how it all work after we told them that we know how it word we dine at the Columbia location often so any way we start our salad bar witch was not very appetizing and moved to the hot bar items there black beans were so gross i could tell that they were reheated just the taste of it ruined black beans for good and there mashed potatoes were so think i had trouble getting it off the spoon so i had my server take the plates and told them i was ready for the meet that me and my wife were not impressed with the salad bar NO LIE WE SAT THERE FOR A GOOD 25 TO 30 MIN BEFORE THEY BROUGHT meet out and they first offered us there chicken and pork sausage and we told them that we were more in to the picina and the flank and the top sirloin well another 5 min goes by keep in mine that it was like 1000 degrees in there omg it was sooo hot but any way about 5 min later they brought out pork Parmesan and i had told them again that all we wanted was the steaks and they were not busy at all there was another table of 3 in the restaurant and me and my wife so a total of 5 people and they couldn’t get it right!!!!! but any way we finally got a taste of the flank steak and omg that was the nastiest thing i have ever tried i don’t know if they were trying to be a smart ass but there’s no way that it was accidentally over salted the way it was and it was soo dry at this time we had it and asked the server for the cheek and that’s when they started really running the meets but when i seen how sweaty the meet runners were it just made me loose my appetite it was so gross the meet cutters were cover in swat and i just payed the bill and left i will never in my life return to that location if you really want a good Brazilian experience i would recommend the one in Columbia because that Charleston location just has no hope!!!!!!

Have ate at cowboys in columbia before and was great BUT this one in Charleston is awful to say the least.sat for 40 minutes before we even got the first piece of meat and by a hour in we had only received 3 small pieces of steak.no sausage, chicken, lamb or anything else that they clam to serve. Hell they even ran out of mushrooms and potatoes on the small bar 5 hat they have. Finally left after hour and 15 minutes with not much of all to eat and pissed.the bill was 80 buck for two so I left 100 dollars in hope that would help them to pay more help. Service was excellent. Food was AMAZING!. For 75$ my husband and I shared a bottle of wine, dessert, and 2 dinners. It was a great value. The meat was very tasty, I loved our server, and the salad bar selection was plentiful. There is shrimp cocktail, smoked salmon and cold cuts as well of multiple kinds of cheeses and salads. The hot items included rice, beans, mashed potatoes, and collard greens! Overall GREAT experience. Will come back with friends. I recommend Cowboys!
