Dine and relax Rusty Anchor. We celebrated my 70th birthday tonight by beginning the evening at Rusty Anchor. With drinks and dinner. Our server Eric, was the best. His advice and humor made for a very pleasant evening. We go here several times a year and always leave with the satisfied feeling of money well spent. Tks again Eric you are so good at what you do.

We were there last Thursday evening with a party of 6. We ate outside as the weather was beautiful. The place has a Hilton Head Island feel to me . We all really enjoyed the peaceful lake view. Service was attentive and our food arrived hot . My oysters were great as was the soup and asparagus . This was our first visit and if we were going to be in the area longer, ( we were visiting from Texas),we would be eating here again without question. Well worth the drive out from Cola.

Not sure if the restaurant side is any good, but the bar area outside is pathetic. I ordered the $8 burger which is basically made from a frozen patty you might find in the grocery store. Nothing special, and while I can probably forgive that, my bun was still frozen in the middle. The cooks should be ashamed of themselves. Not the worst Ive ever been to, but definitely in the Top 5

Good food, a really dumb kid used to peel shrimp there, but I think they fired him, so things have run pretty smoothly ever since
