Asada Plate. 2 skirts of perfectly cooked Asada beef. With rice and beans with picodegallo.17 Oct, 2014From San Antonio. I must say my family and I have recently moved 4 weeks ago and have been on a journey, going to numerous places to find a Mexican food restaurant that’s remotely as good, as it is back home and our journey is complete lol. El Cancun is as close as you can get and it’s delicious. The wait staff is friendly, the music is good and did I forget to mention the food is great.
Tasty margarita, food meh. I’ve been here many times and the food quality is consistently marginal. I’m drawn here by the swimming-pool size margarita, but I always wish they would move away from the canning operation mentality and put out some authentic mexican food.

Best Mexican in York County….Service is always excellent, food is Great, beer is better. Love it!!
El Cancun succeeds in their generous drink specials and large portions. This is definitely geared towards a college crowd, so don’t expect the best in Mexican cuisine. Still, their dishes are solid and inexpensive, which makes Cancun a great hangout for pre-gaming purposes. If noise is an issue and second-hand smoke is not, the restaurant offers patio seating. Heed fellow user Marty’s warnings of the salsa–I once had a saucer of the hot that tasted of Windex cleaner.
Been going here since I was a kid with my parents great food good service and great place to eat with friends
This Marty guy is a joke. When I was a student at winthrop it was second nature to go to this place. I still go. Several dozen people I have taken blame me for their addiction to the shrimp quesadillas. They are very generous with portions. So much in fact when I go they know to go ahead and put one quesadilla in a box. Mexican restaurants are traditionally loud but this place? I can have a normal conversation if I want to but half the time I want to drink and I’ll be the first to vouch for they’re GIANT margarita. Good. Cheap. Clean. Fun. And laughs. One of the best places ever.
