Saturday, December 5, 2015 – 1:00pmMom and I went out to ChristmasVille in Rock Hill to see all the sights. The highlight our photo with the Grinch! After walking threw all of the vendors we were starving and decided to eat at The Five & Dime for the first time. There was a line out the door but we were able to get right in and sit at the bar. Even though the restaurant was slammed we were still greeted in a timely manner and got our drinks. After we placed our order the server took the time to explain that the kitchen was backed up and it would be 20 minutes for the food. All I have to say is Thank You…I have No problem waiting for a good meal especially when the server takes the time to explain the true reason for the wait. So both my mother and I ordered the Fried Green Tomato BLT with fries. Sweet-Mamma-Jamma was it good and totally worth the wait. The only thing was we should have ordered the Sweet Potato Chips instead of the fries. The fries were good but the lady next to us got the chips, and had we known that they were fresh fried Sweet Potato Chips we would have totally gotten them instead!! All in all a great experience and we will be back!

We want to return to try the rest of the menu. They are new & will probably be even better soon. I’m telling all my friends to try this place.

Great. What a wonderful experience, a differnt menu to enjoy, your favorit home meals with a special twist….Clean and bright decor, and nostolgic options….need to visit regular and often
Great Service. Went for lunch 10/20/13. Dcor still needs work, but they just opened. Owner on top of things as she goes from task to task. Our food server (C. Spencer) was marvelous. He belongs in fine dining. Food was good but could have been better. We got a Cobb and another salad (forgot the name). The burgers as they came out of the kitchen looked wonderful and we have thought about getting that if we go back for lunch. Prices were good. Our salads were $6 or so.
