I had the smoked turkey and baked beans. The turkey was dry and it was like it had been sliced on a previous day. It looked dry before I even tasted it. The baked beans were in a really thick sauce that was almost like a BBQ sauce. It was like I was eating sauce, not beans. The lady who took my order was nice. I would give this experience 1.5 of 5 stars. I will go back to try the BBQ pork and hope it is better.
Very friendly staff, customers, and neighbours. We stopped in for lunch around 1:30pm on Friday. Our waiter, Will, recommend I try the 1/2 Chicken Platter, my wife had the Smoked Turkey Platter. We had sides of onion rings, baked beans, slaw, side salad, and hush puppies. The chicken was very moist, we liked all the sides except for the BBQ slaw. Nothing wrong with the slaw, it is BBQ style which we discovered we did not appreciate.The turkey could have a little more moisture. Also, the smoke taste was more on the outside, would have been better if it was deeper into the meat.We also took home a rack of ribs. My brother loved them. The ribs and chicken come sauced, we were not given the option for sauce on the side, not that I would want it that way.The iced tea is also good.If I ever drive to Atlanta again I’d return here.

Great BBQ.. Just had the chopped BBQ with fries and slaw.. Awesome I must say. Great sauce as well
A Carolina Favorite …. To the best of my memory, this was one of the first BBQ restaurants in Spartanburg … they have two locations, and it’s just a favorite place of all my friends. The sauce, slaw, and hushpuppies are as good as you will ever find anywhere. You won’t find people any more friendly or the food any better. If you’re in town, you must try it! Enjoy.
