  Believe the haters!. I had read more bad reviews than good and I felt people were just hating on this landmark diner; I decided to give it a try and I can conclude: the haters are right!! Food quality was abysmal at best: the mash potatoes (instant) were not even luke warm…in fact, they were actually cold in some bites!! The rice and gravy had no taste or seasoning and the country steak was barely warm and did not taste good at all. The mac and cheese was hot and tasty—thank goodness! The corn bread was cold and the tea tasted like it had been saved from the day before. I did not get the dessert that was suppose to come with it nor was I asked by my waitress. She appeared to be overworked, cranky, and not very personable or friendly. No one checked on me or offered a refill. Even worse, the cashier–who I assumed is the owner–did not even ask me about the meal!!! This was at 12 PM with a huge lunch crowd—-they must have been there for the spaghetti special which looked quite good—-it couldn’t have been for the service or the cold food and nasty tea!! For my money—never again!!

  Some good food,and people. This is some good food,I had breakfest there about week ago.And it was wonderful.The people there was great.

  Pretty decent food. Stopped in for lunch and was impressed. For $8 I got country fried steak, mac & cheese, rice & gravy, a side salad, 2 rolls, and a devil’s food cake dessert. Friendly, good service. Stop in for lunch. Definitley a lot of food for the money.
