Called for a take out order and someone else went to pick up. When she got back order was wrong and fries were not included. When I called to inquire the man that I spoke with didn’t even check to see if I was overcharged ( I think I was ) $19.69 for 2 subs is a little pricey. I was not a happy camper and not sure if I will go back to the store on Asheville Hwy. I think I will have to try Boiling Springs. Perhaps better customer service and more personable people.
Philly steak. I grew up right out side of philly eating cheesesteaks several times a week. I have lived all over USA and never found anywhere outside philly to make a cheesesteak like the real deal. They hook it up. By far best cheesesteak outside of philly.
Disappointing. We were incredibly excited to try this place based on reviews on this site. We went today for lunch. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. Aside from the fact that we waited over 30 minutes for our to go order of one 12 inch cheese steak, the sandwich was mediocre at best, and that’s probably being generous. The sandwich was VERY small, and what little meat was on the sandwich could never be described as juicy, well-cooked, or well-seasoned. In addition, the bread was a joke. It was chewy, and not in a good way. If that’s truly the type of sandwich served in Philly, I guess I’ll cancel my trip now.We also found it very disappointing that no one apologized for our wait or explained why our order took so long. The kitchen was clearly chaotic with little to no organization. If you insist on going to this place, make sure to call ahead if you’d like to eat in a reasonable amount of time. We weren’t even there during peak lunch hours. We arrived a bit after 1pm on a Friday. Finally, make sure to take cash as they don’t accept credit cards or have an ATM on site.
Rip Off!!! Beware!. The sandwiches are great, ain’t no doubt about that. What isn’t so wonderful is the way they make prices up as they go. They over price for the food quality you get, meaning they aren’t using the best meat for the amount you are going to pay for the sandwich. It is a different price for the same thing everytime you go. Prepare to spend about $9 or $10 for a sandwich, JUST a sandwich. They will rip you off. Not how what is on each sandwich on the menu isn’t listed, this is how they get you. Beware!!!
