Family Dinig Staple. You won’t find better calabash even on the coast of South Carolina. My family and I have been enjoying tadpole food for years. The staff is friendly and the owners are genuinely nice people. Prices are pretty reasonable and your over-excited child will bother no one. Wednesday and Thursdays offer all you can eat calabash shrimp and calabash chicken. Take out is normally the way we go and Ms. Peaches takes good care of her customers.
Best Seafood I’ve had… The Tadpole has a huge variety of fish, and other foods, that come in large portions for cheap prices. I haven’t had a meal there yet and have been going for 15 years. I wouldn’t eat seafood at another place around the area if someone paid me to.
Worst Seafood In Greenville. Had dinner with my family tonight (4 people) I can’t understand why people were rushing to get in the door. Some people must not know what good fish is. Long John Silvers is better. The flounder had no taste, the trout had a fishy taste, it was cold and the atmosphere was horrible. Save your money!!!
Cajun Crusted Talapia. Broiled talapia with a kick!! I love spicy food, so I really enjoy thisa with a baked potato, slaw, and som pickled onions! Yummy!27 May, 2011LOVE IT!. Large portions of food for a reasonable price! The Grouper is fantastic! I also love the Crab Legs!
Bland…. I ordered the seafood platter. Everything on my plate tasted the same. My girlfriend who was with me ordered a different platter and we both agreed that all the food was really bland. Also, some of my food was overcooked.
If you are an uptight, frigid stuffed shirt who turns up their pretentious nose at fried food, then be warned. The tadpole is not for you….and nobody likes you. Calabash shrimp and all of the other fried (or broiled) seafood items are cravingly tasty. If you are lame and no fun, stay away from the Tadpole.
