Blink and you’ll miss it!. Looking for something new to eat on a trip to Spartanburg and decided on this place. Drove up and down the street looking for it and missed it twice. Its a tiny little place that’s easy to miss, but so worth stopping! I was tempted to try the Cuban sandwich to compare to another favorite place, but decided to try something different. Went for the barbacoa, which was tender and flavorful. Also tried the house soup which was good. I had never had a tamale and decided it was time to try one. So glad I did – they are amazing here! Have tried to make them a few times since and have decided that next time the craving hits I’m coming back to this place! The owner was great, the food was amazing and there are plenty of things to choose from. Can’t wait to go back and try something else!
This restaurant is awesome! We have been looking for a place that has cafe con leche like we found in West Palm Beach, and we found it here. Amazing food!
Cuban or Caribbean food. Makes no difference, This place was a great find. The food was authentic, like you would fine in South Florida . Spicy but not hot. I glad we found it. Not many places like this in the upstate. The amount of food you get for the price is also a deal. When back in Spartanburg I will return.
A Hidden Treasure for Caribbean Food Lovers. My husband and I have visited this Caf twice in one week. We definitely found a little sweet slice of heaven in our own backyard; Spartanburg SC. If you are a local, visitor or just traveling through you need to put down whatever device you are using to read this review and go find this place. There are no words to describe how good the food is. You can rest assured that it’s authentic Caribbean/Cuban style food that you will not find anywhere else around here without traveling to South Florida or to the Caribbean! You will not be disappointed. The place is clean, prices are reasonable, and the staff/owners go above and beyond the call of duty to make certain their customers are satisfied. So far, we have had the Shrimp plate, Pork w/ Mojo plate, Barbacoa Beef plate, Cuban Bread, Caramel Flan (to die for) and a Cuban coffee. Here’s a tip for you: if you need a little perk me up, Cuban Coffee works better than a Red Bull 🙂 Next visit, we will be trying one of the homemade Cuban sandwiches. I cannot wait to go back.
Awesome food. The meat and three is delicious. My boyfriend couldn’t decide what he wanted and told Gustan to make him a plate and it was amazing.
Incredible service, authentic food. The island shrimp is amazing over rice.
