Prices are average. Vast selection of sushi. Punky Brewster, Ocean and Treasure Island were 3 delicious rolls. The Blue Christmas is an unique roll with shrimp tempura, crab salad bleu cheese and to bilo! They do offer a few rolls on happy hour which is nice.
Have tried all others in town for sushi…Miyako sushi Group is the best in town. They keep me coming back!!!

Fantastic Sushi. Whenever I want sushi in Spartanburg, I come to Miyako. The wait staff is super friendly, and more than willing to explain any questions about the menu or recommendations from the menu. The menu has a wide variety of sushi, sashimi, and even hibachi dishes, so anyone should be able to find a dish suitable to the palate. Furthermore, all the prices are extremely reasonable. I usually get the sushi lunch, a selection of nigiri and sushi rolls, chosen by the chef so you’re pretty much guaranteed the best quality every time you order it. If you’re in the mood for sushi, Miyako is the place to go.

OK so I changed my mind!. Now that we have tried Miyako Sushi Group in downtown Spartanburg, we have a new favorite place for sushi in this area. I didn’t think it was possible! But, the variety, speed, accuracy and creativity of Miyako has surpassed the experience of other sushi restaurants around. The verdict is still out on non-sushi entrees, as there really aren’t many options if you don’t like sushi. I didn’t notice a ‘cigarette’ smell or ‘dingy’ interior during our recent visit, but we did sit at the sushi bar so maybe other parts of the restaurant are like that. Prices are good! We will be back.
