The Farmer’s Table has breakfast available all day. Their lunch menu is amazing too. This is definitely not the cheapest place to eat but the good is wonderful and they buy local so you are also supporting the community.
Love this place, but consistency needs work. We love this place, but there are a few things that need to be addressed. Consistency is the biggest thing I look for in a restaurant, besides using quality ingredients and having something I don’t normally cook at home. Quality and variety is definitely at the Farmer’s table. Consistency is lacking during your busy times. It seems that on low to moderate crowded days the food is outstanding (good quality, portions, and cooked with finesse). On busy days things change. Quality should not suffer during heavy business. I have mentioned the next comment to our waitresses a few times, last 3 visits, but nothing appears to have been changed as of yet. Please change the way you are cooking your fries. Hand cut fries are fantastic, if they are done correctly. The first time I had them they were outstanding. I’m not sure who the cook was, but he needs to instruct the rest of the kitchen staff on how to fry a fry so that it is crisp and not a soggy mess. It may be an issue with the thermostat in the fryer, but the last three times I have ordered the fries or they came with my burger, they were soggy, oily, and inedible. I sent them back on two occasions, but the last time I had ordered them to go. I live 2 minutes from the restaurant so they probably didn’t get soggy on the trip home. If the fryer is not regulating properly and the oil is too low, fries will continue to be awful. The blackbean burger is great, but change the bun. I ordered it about 6 months ago and I think it came on a simple Kaiser roll. This time it was on a great harvest roasted garlic bun. The bun was super dense and had a consistency of 2 day old bread. Please go back to a simpler bun. Also, please don’t serve day old guacamole and try to salvage it with an entire lime. If that is not what happened to my side of guacamole for my blackbean burger, please change the recipe. The acidity content made it inedible and I am glad I tasted it before I put it on my burger. Had I been in the restaurant, my order would have been sent back. All that being said, I still love this place and will continue to come back because they do use quality ingredients, THAT ARE LOCAL! Don’t listen to earlier comments, I’ve seen the farmers come in w/ crates of produce, not mass produced stuff trucked in. Any restaurant will have some items trucked in, but their mainstays are from SC and NC. Hopefully this review gets someone’s attention from the kitchen crew since my verbal messages aren’t making it there.
I’ve found out there food isn’t really that local at all. They order the food from PFG, a big food company. The produce comes from all over the world…. not locally. Stop the false aadvertising!
Always something new. I go here to SUPPORT OUR LOCALS, that right there is the best way to give back to our community.I have been going for lunch and happy hour for a while now. I get something new/different every time and I have NEVER been disappointed. The staff is very down to earth and friendly.
Our first impression for brunch was delightful. All of the staff were friendly and seem enthusiastic. We love that the food is locally grown/locally prepared. The decr is bright and happy. We tried biscuits & gravy and the shrimp & grits – we were not disappointed. Great kind of place for a Sunday brunch.
Yum!. My favorite restaurant in town! It’s so incredible. You have to go try it!
