Fantastic!. I’ve been going to Wasabi for years now, hand down the best sushi restaurant in Spartanburg. Katsu gives excellent dinner conversation and treats his regulars fantastically, we get a free dish almost every time we go. The sushi is always fresh and the restaurant always clean.
We went there and we’re told 30 minutes on the wait time…45 minutes later we were informed it would be another hour!!!! We left…..as did a lot of people. They should have been honest about the wait time instead of trying to get people to wait….we won’t return
I just wrote the review below and want to clarify the owner is named Katsu not Katsura I guess the iPhone auto corrected my spelling! Very annoying26 Nov, 2011This is my favorite restaurant in Spartanburg. I have been going here since they opened. Katsura and Jing, the owners are the BEST. Jing always remembers me and what dishes I like. The sushi awesome there . Some of the best are the devil, volcano, and Michael. If there is a sushi item that you want but it’s not on the menu just describe it to Katsura and he will most likely oblige. Also the Yaki Niku Beef on the regular menu is really good.
Confused at the ratings!. I am really confused as to the low ratings here, because we’ve been twice so far and we LOVE it! Friendly, quick service. Sushi chef Katsu is amazing. BF raves about the sushi and I love the beef lamen. Please read the positive reviews and give Wasabi a chance. Love it!
