I went to Cookout for the first time today. I heard alot of mixed reviews on this place so I had to try it. I must say i was hardly impressed. The exterior looked promising and quite large. However the inside was a different story. I walked in and was greeted by an overwhelmingly large staff. After waiting in line for a few minutes the cashier was more interested in talking to one of the girls at the other register than taking my order. The staff behind the counter seemed to be running into one another. Clearly too many employees taking up space and creating distractions. I tried a chili dog & the spicy chicken sandwich. The chili dog was burnt and the chicken sandwich was less than impressive. It looked like something I could have microwaved at home. The interior decorating is a bit cheap and kind of random. On a positive side it appeared clean and I witnessed one of the girls sweeping up several times during the visit. I may give this place one more chance and try a burger and shake next time. However after my experience I would not encourage anyone to order from here.
My husband went to cookout to try it out, we ordered two cheddar burgers. They were gross, the bread was disgustingly soggy. The inside of the restaurant was a disgrace it looked like someone took the owner on base and bought a few tshirts and tacked them up on the wall. I must say however that the blueberry cheesecake milkshake and the calibration on the coke machine was fine. The food is cheap, you get what you pay for. I would rather buy a burger from five guys and a hot dog from rascals.
