Four for lunch. Appetizer of squash and zucchini sticks, (fried and served hot with a dipping dressing )was excellent. We ordered shrimp and grits, charleston chicken, fried green tomato BLT, and chicken ravioli. All was very good. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Will be back!
TomD. I had the crab cake appetizer and red snapper entre. Could not be happier. Best crab cakes I have ever eaten. Snapper was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It’s obvious the chef knows what he’s doing.
Accessible, relaxed dining with a varied selection. Their Chicken Charleston is one of my favorites there. It’ll be in our rotation.

Remarkable meal at the Simply Southern Bistro. On a new culinary adventure, I found that it is well worth the trip to enjoy a meal at the Simply Southern Bistro. The complimentary biscuits, with a delicious glaze, are big in flavor and quite filling as a starter. However, be sure to save room for one of the house specialties, the Jalapeno Corn Hush Puppies. Crisp and golden, served with sweet honey butter, these hush puppies are addicting. The Shrimp and Grits are sure to please your taste buds. The sausage, combined with very fresh shrimp, add a great depth of flavor to this classic. Though available in half and full orders, youll thank yourself later if you choose the full order. It is just impossible to stop eating this dish after one bite. Many thanks to all at the Simply Southern Bistro for their genuine hospitality and a wonderful dining experience.
If you are anywhere near Sumter SC, you simply MUST visit the Simply Southern Bistro. Gourmet food prepared fresh and tastes amazing!
