Mediocre. Been twice, each time the service was not great. Not horrible but not great. This last time my husband ordered the fish and chips, I ordered the rib eye. The fish was good, the steak was better than average. Mashed potatoes were gross – veggies were average. Salad was soggy and bottled dressing was awful. Beer was great. Atmosphere was LOUD … like so loud I could not hear my husband. I would suggest not going here unless you are out for a beer after work and don’t care to talk.
Don’t phone them with any questions unless you like speaking to someone with zero phone manners.
Not impressed. We don’t live far, but we waited a while before going after reading the opening reviews on other sites. If you’re just going for the beer and sports, this may be the place for you. But if you are going bc you are hungry. ..keep driving. Burger and chicken tenders were dry and had zero flavor, service was less than stellar and the wings were awful. Too many places to choose from around here, so somewhere else will be getting our business.
First experience wasn’t great. Parking lot was packed and had a 30 minute wait for a 2-top. Our dinners came 3 minutes after our apps. Ordered the pork ribs because of the advertisement on the menu for how renowned they are. Extremely undercooked. Zero seasoning. Refrigerated bbq sauce. And not slow cooked as advertised. Worst ribs out there. Willing to give it another try, however the food lacked, too noisy and service was sub par. Spend your money elsewhere
1st trip to Carolina Ale House. As this was our first trip there…wasn’t sure what to expect. Upon arrival…parking lot was packed, but we were quickly seated. Unfortunately, not asked if we wanted inside or outside…we were placed outside. Its the end of Dec…so rather cool. Some of the doors were open but it was very noisy in there, as there were games on. We couldn’t talk to our friends across the table. I wonder if we were sitting inside, if it would have been quieter. Our waitress came to take our drink orders…wasn’t sure if this was her first day at work, but she was definitely more interested in the football game than our drinks. Took awhile to get the beers. Our food came very quickly (almost before the beers arrived) & was delicious…highly recommend the food. Waitress came around once right after food came (she didn’t deliver food) and she never came back to get us more drinks til we were done eating and time for the bill. Took us almost as long to get the bill as it did the first drinks. If we had known it would take that long..would have ordered more drinks, but at this point…we were just ready to go. We will give it one more try, hopefully service is better cause its good food.
We have eaten many times in Columbia at original restaurant and loved it. We were excited when they opened one here in Summerville. They’ve been open now for about a month and our first trip in was a huge disappointment. Menu is nothing like Columbia, food and service poor. Not a manager in sight and no one asked how we were. Waitress messed up our order twice and had to be reminded about several things twice. I’ll not be back, to many other places with better food and service…
Great Atmosphere,Food?OK. CAH is a great place for the sports fan and the general atmosphere.The food is OK ,not great,not bad,but really it’s more of a place to enjoy some beer and watch some sports.
