My opinion. Best Hispanic food in the Charleston area
Went for dinner tonight with my husband. The food was just like any other Mexican restaurant in the area. The waiter was asking for our order before he even brought us chips & salsa. When I told him I was ready he left, but quickly came back & stayed there till I made up my mind. You would have thought it was closing time and it was 8p. We had a coupon for BOGO free entree, but when we questioned the total the guy checking us out said he took off for the beer & tea. We asked about the free entree & he just kept saying that the taxes still had to be paid on the bill. It didn’t made any sense-we just paid & said we wouldn’t be back. We can go to any Mexican restaurant around town & get the same food. Not special!
Good food…host is an idiot.. Wife, children and I go often. Food always comes hot, wait staff is attentive and I have never had to send anything back. The host (older fellow) is pretty passive aggressive. One time we went in and he sat four of us in the tiniest booth in the place. When we complained, he offered the one between the kitchen and restroom. I just ignored him and sat my family at the big roomy booth that was open the whole time. Another time he tried to play waiter, forgot my son’s entree. Maybe he’s not passive aggressive, probably just stupid. Anyway, go to the place, just avoid the clown.
Took over 25 mins for servicer to come to table and that only happen after I placed a call to resturant and ask tham how much longer I would have to wait. Not the place to go if you expect timely service
Best in the area!. After moving from San Diego, we’ve yet to find a decent Mexican restaurant. This place is delicious! Love the chile verde! The service is great! So happy that it is so close to our house! We’ve already been there a ton of times!
Yes. I’m so happy to have a good mexican restaurant in our neighborhood. One time, we had a distracted server, told the owner, who was so apologetic. Food is as good as any Mexican place around town. Close to our house. Loving it. Black bean, not just refried beans, are my favorite. Good TEXAS marguerita.
