Used to be great. This place has gone down over the years. I don’t know what it is but Mark needs to step up his game. I used to love it, they had the best food and the best staff. Now the staff is average and the food is, well, not good enough for the prices. I do not mind paying for great food but they just don’t meet those standards these days.
Dinner with friends. Great experience. Exceeded expectations . With my husband and friends, we decided to pass a beautiful April shower day Summerville style. Enjoying the ambiance of Oscars Place, we dined on Rib Eye, and Seafood Pasta . Succulent, and superb with a crisp edge of entertainment. Our server Tom Tom was both very proficient and entertaining. Would recommend to all. Look forward to our next visit.
Amazing!!!! Absolute treat! I eat every crumb on my plate because it was THAT good! I couldn’t help myself! The ribeye and the lobster OUT of this world! Great management! I was waiting for the bathroom and the manager saw me waiting and took me to another area so I didn’t have to wait. What a great experience!
What do they say about books and covers again?. Boy were my first impressions of this place off the mark. I saw the coupons advertised in front, like the frequent buffet customer one, and I almost headed for the hills before the hostess even noticed me. What a mistake that would have been.The ravioli dish I got was just excellent. When I saw the amount of ingredients involved in it on the menu, my hopes were pretty low, things with that kind of list tend to just have flavors cancel one another out and not work. In this case, I was wrong a second time. Really smart pairing of flavors that works perfectly, would highly recommend it.Really my only gripe the whole time was I felt my appetizer was a little overpriced, but I’m talking by one, maybe two dollars. And it was delicious, so, pretty minor concern. I’d order it again anyway.Very nice surprises within these doors, I’m glad I ignored my gut feelings at the door because Oscar’s is quite an enjoyable restaurant and one I plan to visit again.
Yummy Food!. I have been to Oscar’s a few times and have never been disappointed with their food. Like another reviewer said, they have such a great range. I can dine in the relaxed bar or sit in the restaurant and have a nice dinner with my fiance. And they always have a great special or deal! Like them on facebook because they regularly post half-priced appetizers or bottle of wine specials when you mention the post. I am also partial to a place that offers specials to teachers, firefighters and police officers. And don’t forget the crack pie!!! Mmmm… I am already started to crave it and it’s only been a week since my last visit.
Oscars is the bomb! Especially if you love to eat as much as me. Their lunch buffet is awesome and they always have good specials. There is something for everyone and the service is great…. Looking forward to my next visit!
GREAT HAPPY HOUR. I recently visited Oscars with a group of friends for drinks and appetizers before a play. The location was perfect and it was exactly what we were looking for. They have great happy hour specials on drinks and appetizers, which we took full advantage of. We started with mac & cheese bites which were my favorite!! They had good flavor with a hint of jalapeno- very tasty!! We also had the spinach dip, nachos (definitely recommend adding chicken!) and fruit/cheese plate. Portion sizes were bigger than we expected with more than enough to share. It was a great spread with lots of flavor. I will absolutely be back and recommend it to anyone visiting Summerville.
