I really liked this restaurant. It was my first time there so there are many things on the menu I haven’t tried. But what I did try was great. I don’t know how there buffet is, but the items we ordered were wonderful. Prakash was our waiter and he was very friendly and had great service. He even brought my husband and I a free appetizer because it was our first time and my husband’s birthday. They really know how to use their herbs and spices and everything was very fragrant and flavorful. We had leftovers because there was so much to eat and it was even great the next day! One of our new favorite restaurants.
Really good food! Fun place to eat and the smell of curry in the air. Get the Naan bread basket. It is by far the best deal to get Naan. Three flavors in one basket. Easily enough to feed 4.
Like it with some negative. The food is great. People are good. The restaurant is severely short staffed. This comment is based on one time visit by an out of town visitor. This restaurant is not for some one who came to town after a long travel looking to have meal in a reasonable time.
Excellent restaurant and fine service. Chicken tiki masala and buffet were wonderful. Nice surprise!! We were wondering around downtown waiting for car repair and discovered this gem of a restaurant. We have had Indian food in London and New York and Katmandu did not disappoint. Try it and you will be impressed.
Good to BAD. When Kathmandu opened up in RC, I as so excited. In the beginning service was good, prompt, and the food divine, we gave them five stars. In the past 2 months we have gone, the service, the atmosphere, the food has left a lot to be desired. Last night we sat there for over an hour without ever receiving our appetizers. We only saw service once. After 90 min, we had the food that had not come yet done as a takeaway if it was ready. The food was bland and unflavorful. Not what we had become accustomed to from them. Their food used to be full of life and flavors. The atmosphere was ruined with kegs by the front door, broken lights, confusing menus of what they may or may not had for each menu was different, and other issues that showed a lack of care for their clientele and their business. It will be some time before we go back in the hopes that they can become the fine dining establishment they started out with. With pride in their business and their food.
Wow, great Indian food at a reasonable price. Hands down the best, freshest naan I’ve had anywhere in the US. Bhendi masala was OUTSTANDING.
Delicious!. This restaurant is so authentic and delicious! I LOVE spicy food and this place meets my pallet. My husband and I make a point to come here once a week and try something new. The service has always been great and welcoming. If you like Indian food, you will love this restaurant!
