Old fashioned family restaurant with a little salad bar and some decent sandwiches. The salad bar has a few salad type on it: light greens, broccoli and cranberry doused in dressing, generic potato, and some dry macaroni salad I didn’t touch. Standard Midwest dressing options, nothing special. The soups were pretty good, I had the ham and bean and the corn chowder. Just ok on their own, they were pretty tasty mixed together. The Thursday special is a ribeye Philly on sourdough with regular toppings and horseradish on the side. It was…. As good as you’d expect a Philly to be in rapid city at a family restaurant. Unobjectionable and at least the bread was soft, if not sour at all. Filling was OK, but not enough.Ordered a caramel roll to go and snuck a bite. The roll is soft and not too sweet itself and the caramel is the pale ice cream type caramel so popular in the Midwest. Not a sticky bun by any means. The sauce is grainy, but tastes ok.Service would’ve been better if I’d been in one of the younger waitresses section. I got the old diner waitress that didn’t mince words or refill water or anything else without asking. Eh.It would be a comfortable place to take my grandparents. At least it’s not loud. Value is just ok.

Not really. It was ok good variety but it’s a classic family restaurant without the really good food. The pancakes tasted like bisquik and the service is horrible we waited about 6-10 min till we even got our drink orders and an extra 3 tillable had our drinks and don’t ask me on our food. They don’t have a display of their great pies so your not interested. Its ok but it’s expensive for the quality of their food.

Good fish sandwhich and wraps. Nice homey place to eat if you want to keep it lowkey
