Disappointing to say the least. I love the cute little building and was really looking forward to try this place. I was very disappointed by the food. Our server had a hard time understanding what we were asking. My boyfriend ordered the Pollo en mole, it lacked flavor in the sauce and the chicken was tough and chewy. I ordered the Carna Asada fajitas. The Steak was very dry and tasted odd. Entire dish lacked moisture and flavor. Rice was blan. The salsa was good chips and tortillas were fresh. Not sure if they were having an off day or what but I can not recommend due to the poor quility of our food.
Traveling the Midwest and missing our TexMex foods. This restaurant was suggested by a relative so we tried it. The food from the chips and salsa to the entrees was all authentic. I had tacos al pastor Which were served with refried beans and Mexican rice. My wife had chicken quesadillas and she was very satisfied. If you want REAL Mexican food in Rapid, this is the place.
One of my favorite places to eat in Rapid City and the ONLY authentic Mexican restaurant. Tamales are excellent, as are the chili rellenos. Their homemade menudo is wonderful. Employees/owners are very nice. The restaurant recently added about six tables, but it is still very cozy.
Pretty terrible. Watery salsa. Bland food ( and not particularly hot) one of the worst rellanos I’ve ever had.
Fresh, Delicious, True Mexican. Sabor is awesome! They are family owned and operated, use fresh ingredients in their traditional, homemade mexican dishes. If you’ve ever been to Mexico, then you know that their salsa is done right-not the way Pace chunky made in America is produced. Finally, where else in South Dakota can you find tacos de lengua…this place is a real Mexican restaurant!
Crap! Crap! Crap!. This place was awful. First off I was at the table for several minutes before chips and salsa were served. Then the salsa was so watery it would not stay on the chip. And I ordered caso for the chips and she brought me nacho cheese! I want the white cheese! Then I got my food… wrong, wrong, wrong. Save yourself the time and pay 15 bucks to beat you tongue with a brick.
