Have been in and out of this restaurant a few times over the years, but never again. Even with lunch reservations, it seems like the staff can’t keep up with our table, let alone the rest of the dining room. Perhaps the dinner experience may be better. Food is decent (which is why it got the bump to 1.5), but there are other Mexican restaurants in Sioux Falls that offer good food with far better service over the lunch hour.

Love their Gluten Free Menu!. Don and his team are terrific, we always feel welcome there. They have recently added a Gluten Free menu that tastes terrific and is reasonably priced. It’s great to be able to enjoy a great tasting gluten free lunch or supper with my family at Casa Del Rey!
Pick up Orders ready in 5 minutes. I placed an order for pickup and was told a grilled pork fajita burrito would be ready in 5 to 10 minutes. If I wanted microwave gringo crap I know where to get it for less than half the price of casa del rey. Try another casa trust me.
Mild… but that’s not always bad.. Casa Del Ray has a pretty nice dining atmosphere and good service. Big plus: they drop off a pitcher of water to your table right away. They also bring homemade chips and salsa to the table (ask for the pico). The menu is has a lot to it, but it seems that no matter what I order, it always has a flavor to it. Not that it’s bad, but it’s not overly exciting. When you’re in Sioux Falls, yas gets what yas gets. If you’re on the meat and potatoes side of exciting dining, you’ll probably like Del Ray. If you’re looking for authentic, visit Jackie’s.Good for kids.The Verdict: Fine
