No donuts at 9 left. Here’s an idea make more donuts for the donut shop! It was apple fritters or apple fritters. Not the first disappointing experience.
Best in Town!. Hands down Flyboy has the best cake donuts in town! I wish they had a small shop on the East side of Sioux Falls! I’d eat more donuts then, but they are certainly worth the 10 minute drive! I wish they had a website or more informaiton about the products they carry and prices on their Facebook page though! The only thing that beats a Flyboy donut is an apple fritter from Daylight Donut, but they are out of my way most of the time! Keep up the good work Flyboy and expand east soon!
Employee was wearing sweatpants and t shirt, looked like she hated her job. Floors and tables were dirty, at 815am donuts were almost sold out. Donuts were amazingly good however. Donut maker needs to learn how to run a business. Employee and atmosphere makes the experience. I’ll go again but they’re missing out on tons of business cause the employees hate their job and the place isn’t clean.
Good donuts, terrible business model. As other reviewers have mentioned, it’s the rule rather than the exception that you visit Flyboy and either 1) have only one or two varieties to choose from, or 2) they’re closed because they’ve sold out. Here’s an idea– cook more donuts! Or don’t post that you’re open until 2pm, when you’re only open until you sell out… which can be anywhere from 10am to 11:30. It’s too bad, too, since HyVee’s donuts have gone downhill in the last 5 years, but I’m done driving across town for nothing.
John. I have been there a few times now and have regretted it every time. There are never more than a handful of items to choose from, even early on a Sunday morning. The staff has the attitude that you are inconveniencing them when you stop in, and every time I am there I see someone texting on their cell phone while customers wait. Perhaps they should put a door to separate the kitchen from the front so we don’t have to watch their blatant disregard for customers. Top it off with mediocre donuts and you have a complete waste of time and money. There are plenty of places to get a nice pastry in town so I see no reason to go to Flyboy.
Always good. I have always had great donuts from Flyboys. The selection is sometimes lacking but they have always tasted good. A regular stop in morning for my daughter and I.
Thumbs Down. I believe the icing on the donuts make it that much more appetizing, but not in this case! They were all runny and sloppy, it made the donuts look withered, soggy and old. I’ll stick with daylight donuts!
