We’ve been here many times for drinks/apps and sometimes food. Service is always excellent, drinks are good, and apps aren’t bad – prices are very decent. Anytime we’ve had food (more than just apps), it’s been pretty terrible. I’ve had the chicken breast a couple times and it’s always brought out lukewarm/cool, not hot. We’ve tried a couple different sandwiches and wraps too which aren’t very good. Service is great, atmosphere is nice – menu/food needs to be updated/improved.

Incredibly disappointe in the service at this GC. We were there at lunchtime on Saturday. The place was busy but we were seared right away. It went downhill from there. Took forever to get our order in and then we waited forever for our appetizer. Appetizer & our soup came at same time and then our main courses came only a dew minutes later! Had to eat our mains first so they didn’t get cold! Then asked for our desserts to go and the check at the same time-sat. So long waiting for it we went and found a manager…no comp whatsoever was offered. Our Lincoln ne GC is awesome compared to this place. Still love GC just not this one!
Used to be better. The beer is still good but the last time my wife and I went they had changed the items served on the menu. The fries went from tasty shoestrings to plain and boring. The burgers went from a thick patty to a from frozen hockey puck. I don’t think we will be going back. Not sure if these changes were due to management or the chain. If they were looking to save a buck due to reduced customers it doesn’t help to make the food worse.
Sunday Brunch is great!. My wife and I took our kids there one Sunday morning for their Sunday Brunch, and we really enjoyed it. It was very delicious.
Beer is great, food so-so. Beer is always great and when I’m traveling I look for a Granite City. The food on the other hand …. Appetizer (Boneless wings) were completed nuked hard. Could hardly eat them. Dinner was the Cajun Pasta – it was actually good — was not over or under cooked but it took a long time from ordering to table. I even sat at the bar hoping service would be faster … not really.This location is off my list
Great Service and Beer. I am surprised every time I dine here because of how great the service is. It surprises me because I work customer service and I know how stressful things get when it’s busy and Granite City is always busy but that doesn’t seem to effect the staff. The Idaho Nachos are tasty and filling…you might not even need to order a meal ;)The burgers and sandwiches have always been great. My husband loves the Blue Peppercorn Burger. Keep up the good work!
