Never again!. We went there for my wife’s birthday and my food was cold sent it back the manager brought me an obviosly microwaved shrivled up meal and drenched it in not a sauce it was supposed to come with and IT WAS STILL COLD! plus they added onions to my sons pizza and the manager refused to fix it. he was a smarmy Jacka$$ his name was Joe by the way. I will never spend good money here again.

2nd bad meal here. The first time was chicken something my wife ordered which would have been ok if it had ANY chicken in it (literally). This time the pizza was burned beyond recognition. We threw it out it was so bad…. Awful food in the Sioux Falls resteraunt.. (the pic makes it look OK- IT ISNT)

Was wanting good Italian food. I had already decided on Carino’s, but asked several resiidents for their choice. Found Carino’s was the unsolicited choice.Holly waited on us and made our evening special. My wife ordered Chicken Marsala, it was fixed to perfection. I was able to learn how to change my recipe at home. My Lobster Ravioli was very tasty and generously filled.

Delicious & Satisfying. Bf & I had lunch here today – we thought the food was amazing! Loved the warm, fresh bread, my salad was fresh and had color, and his soup was delicious & full of flavor. He had Timbolo (skillet filled w/ spaghetti, onions, peppers, mushrooms, black olives, pepperoni, and baked in mozzarella & parmesan) and raved about it, saying it was one of the best dishes he’d ever had. I had the chicken garganzola penne – pasta was cooked perfectly & tender, big pieces of chicken sliced thinly, and a tasty thick sauce that stuck to the noodles (I don’t like it when pasta is mushy or the sauce is so thin, it doesn’t stick). I’m really baffled by the bad reviews, because we truly enjoyed the food & left feeling happy & satisfied. Cannot wait to return – they got a nice menu with tons of things I want to try!

Not so GF friendly…. While Carino’s is a great, yummy restaurant, unfortunately the Sioux Falls store has taken a long time to jump on the gluten-free bandwagon. Their menu states GF options, but when you try to order things GF they will tell you they don’t have the gluten free pasta or flatbread in this region yet. This is very disappointing because it is advertised as having GF options and their menu clearly states GF options. I fully understand that a restaurant can only do what their franchise allows when rolling into a new menu, but it seems dishonest to me to use a menu that isn’t correct. When I tried to order the waitress suggested binging my pasta to me with the pasta replaced with green beans or mashed potatoes. Call me picky, but when you have your heart set on pasta that just sounds nasty. We ended up leaving the restaurant for another that was more GF friendly. So, please, if you or someone you love is GF, call the restaurant first and do your research locally before you get your hopes up.

Good food, good value. I stop here whenever I’m In Sioux falls – great atmosphere and service.23 Jan, 2013Good food for the $$. It’s easy to fill up with the gr8 bread and dipping sauce. I’ve always had excellent service and above average food. I have a fairly sophisticaged palate and have eaten in some of the finest restaurants across the nation.

Carino’s has decent food, but certainly far from fine dining. I do like the spicy calamari salad. Other meals I’ve had are ok, but not great Italian.
