Were looking forward to authentic food but it was disappointment. Lamb korma had some frozen veggies mix (pretty sure that’s what it was)added to it. Meat korma should not have 5 vegetables in it. Salad that came with kebabs was definitely a mix from the store with store bought dressing. Kebabs were good though. Nun bread is also store bought and reheated. Server avoided answering whether nuns are hand made. She said she did not know how they make it. That’s strange for a small place like that not to know what goes on in the kitchen. For the price it is not worth it.
Our first time here, long overdue. Already experiencing the welcome, smells and hospitality. Watching someone who cooks your food smiling and working is inviting, or perhaps it is the smells.Incredible Flavours. This place is fantastic.
Great food and great service. Lots of vegetarian options and a few vegan options as well.
Spectacular food. The restaurant has very simple decor – formica tables and wooden chairs – but the food was probably the best Afghan food we’ve had. We had the eggplant bourranee and halal chicken biryani. The service was friendly and prompt. It’s too bad we were only passing through because we’d love to go again.
The appetizer that I had Dahl Karri with Roti was fantastic and very filling. My brother had the Subzi with Roti and it was served witg their chutnee which fantastic and had great flavor. When the chicken biryani came the plate was heaping with food. I had a spice level of 10 and I like spice and I felt it was very appropriate. The spice was unique and sweet with and spicy at the same time. The yogurt helped tame the meal down and was a great compliment to the meal. The service was fantastic and the place is a must eat at in Sioux Falls.
Amazing!. My husband and I had the most wonderful food last night! I have celiac disease and the staff was so helpful and honestly there were only a few items on the menu I could not eat. The portions were huge, so we both have enough left over for another meal. I had never eaten Afghan food before and I was pleasantly surprised. They customize the heat level and bring to add ons to cool it down or spicy it up as you choose table side as well. I can’t say enough good about this place! It only seats something like 26, but we had not problem getting in.
A Must Try. My husband and I went here today and it was great. I ordered the Chicken Tikki and he ordered a chicken dish as well. I agree that asking for a 5 or 6 spice level is not very spicy so ask for a 8 or more if you want spicy. This is not a fast food restaurant so go in there with that attitude and you will have a wonderful time. It’s peaceful and quiet and the decor is authentic. Our waitress was very nice and funny, we enjoyed the service and will come back. I have gotten take out as well and they give you large portions and the quality never changes. If you like to experience authentic in Sioux Falls this is a place to stop on your list!!
