Awful. We had the misfortune to eat at Royal Palace today. Entering an empty restaurant at noon was discomforting to begin with, but the myriad reasons that it was empty quickly became apparent. The hot and sour soup came out first and was passable, but that was the last edible food we were served. Next came egg rolls and wonton wrappers that had clearly been fried hours before and were soggy and cold when they arrived. For the entree, I got tasteless broccoli beef swimming in a semi-congealed, flavorless sauce. My companion’s sweet and sour chicken had one over my dish in that the sauce had already fully congealed into a jello-like mass. My rice was comically overcooked and his ‘lo mein’ was clearly preprocessed fettuccini noodles. Totally miserable experience, will never revisit.
