Valentines Dinner. My wife and I ate pasta and seafood…both were very good. Our server was pleasant and took care of us very well. The atmosphere was elegant and had piano music playing in the background. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal, excellent service, and enjoyable surroundings.
As for pizza……call it gourmet flatbread!. So I am on a quest in this town to find good pizza. I finally decided to try Spezia. It is an overwhelming interior based on what you think is inside when you are walking in from the parking lot. You quickly realize this is an upscale restaurant once you walk in. I decided I was going stay and try this pizza and spend more than I wanted to. I also decided to eat my pizza here and not take it home. I sat at the bar, and I quickly learned this is a wine place from all the wines they offer. But duh, it is Italian so I get it. They were well stocked with wine. But I don’t like wine, so time go order pizza. I quickly learned that their pizza is indeed, not cheap. $20.00 for a large. I also learned that once it arrived (which took a while) that it is not pizza. Its gourmet artisan flatbread. I have to say, I loved it. Not a ton of toppings, which was somewhat disappointing. Also could have used a little more sauce. The crust was firm, edges crispy, and overall very tasty. In my opinion this is a great crust. This alone made it my favorite pie yet in Sioux Falls. The price is shocking and its not really pizza to me, however I did enjoy it. I’m not sure how much I will go here, but I will go back.
Quiet and Flavorful. I come to Sioux Falls every couple of months for work and each time I make it a point to dine at Spezia. I have never been disappointed. I always have their lobster bisque soup (absolutely amazing) and I try many variations of dishes. My favorite is the Filet Mignon or the Blackened Salmon. I always have leftovers and the service has always been exceptional! The atmosphere is quiet with a very chic ambience. I highly recommend this place for a good meal. A bit spendy but you get what you pay for at Spezia!
Visited this establishment two nights in a row. First night in a party of 14, solo the next. Service was great both nights and so was the food. Fillet and Lamb Sirloin were both excellent.
Sioux Falls NEEDS BETTER Restaurants!. We just moved here in January and Spezia has been reccommended to us by every person we have asked where to go – it is super pricey and the best thing about the meal was the bread….Olive Garden gives you better food for less money and they have good breadsticks too! GO there!
Very good food, Hostess needs an attitude adjustment, no smile to be found on that woman…
Good food, friendly service, reasonable prices for food and wine — definitely recommend.
