  Tacky, Tacky, Tacky. I’ve been to Stogeez twice, both times were less than stellar. The first time we went there the place was filthy – the table we sat at was sticky. When we asked to have it cleaned we were snapped at and told it would be taken care of. They never did take care of it. There was no toilet paper in the ladies room and the garbage looked as if it hadn’t been emptied in days. It took TWENTY minutes to get our drinks, one beer and one wine. How complicated is that? Especially when there’s only one other person in the entire bar? It wasn’t busy at all. The second time we went there it WAS busy and took almost the same amount of time to get our drinks. I find it interesting that somebody else’s review talks about the owner – the guy’s a dick. He got into an argument with somebody the second time we went there. This was inside the bar and some guy said something he didn’t like and he proceeded to bellow and send the guy packing. Not exactly the way to behave if you want to endear your patrons to you. Having been to Cigar Lounges in REAL cities such as Chicago and New York I can tell you that Stogeez reeks and not in a good way. Smoke of all different scents permeates the actual lounge area. It’s sucked into the furniture big time and makes the place stink. It lacks the pleasant scent that the professional lounges possess. Perhaps this is a lack of training or knowhow on the part of the owner but it’s something that could stand to be improved. Nobody wants to go for drinks in a place that smells rotten.

  My New Favorite Downtown Hangout!!. I was downt town on a thursday night, of which i dont get the oportunity often and stopped in for a cigar and a drink! the atmospher was very relaxing, and the couches were a nice touch. I was able to have a conversation with the bar tender and she helped me decide on an appropriate wine choice for my cigar. Surprisingly a combination that went very well together, the staff was helpful and kind and the patrons calm and mature. I will definately be returning!!

  Just plain rude…. I was there on a busy night and the bathroom floor was covered with urine and toilet paper. I opted to drink my beer outside and a person (who I later found out was the owner) started an argument with the guy standing next to me which punctuated with a screaming invitation to leave and yanked the beer out of his hand, then yanked my beer out of my hand and told me to go as well. Spilled beer all over my shirt. I didn’t even know the guy. Maybe he was having a bad night, but I’m not going back.
