Too concerned about take out to care for restaurant customers!. Went in at 5:30 on a Saturday. Restaurant was less than half empty. Waited for an hour for food while watching the chefs prepare numerous take out orders. We left and noticed all the other people in before us had yet to be served! Awful customer service!

Fresh.. Sushi Masa is the only restaurant in Sioux Falls where I can enjoy nigiri and sashimi. Their dedication to fresh quality fish isn’t match in this area.

What’s up with the kitchen?. I like going here but I live the chicken…the last 6 months or so the majority of the menu is not available. Not good. I like the cooked sushi..not the raw stuff. I would go back…of the full menu is implemented again

Sashimi. Even after living on the West Coast, the sashimi at Sushi-Masa is still some of the best I’ve ever had. The restaurant is usually busy, so sometimes service can be slow but the staff is generally kind and attentive.

Very tasty and authentic!. Great sushi, a wide variety to choose from and the prices are comparable to what you get. In fact, you pay a great price for the amount of food you get. I’m used to fresh fish and sushi so to come here and have it taste just as great and fresh was a real treat.

Big Nigiri and Shashimi pieces. I really like their salad dressing here compared to other places in town. Their rolls are decent size and their nigiri and shashimi are large pieces for a good price. I also like to order the seaweed salad, the appezier octopus in vinegar (so good) as well as the appetizer tempura vegetables. The meal of choice for me is the Two Tone – but is is a lot of food, so either share or be prepared to be wonderfully full. Their miso is homemade with potato instead of tofu, definately a nice change from the mass produced miso at other places.Expect to wait, this is a family run restaurant and they are small with limited seating. If you are in a rush – order ahead of time and take it to go. If you do have time – order the sake flight or one of their many sakes and sit back and relax and visit whoever you came there with.

Good for the prairies. Once a year stop when in region. A very different miso soup with potato and big (too big) pieces of onion, but with very good flavor. Standard sushi fare. I felt the shrimp tempura roll had a little too much mayo used, but that is my personal taste. Don’t know if I would take clients there, but a laid back place for myself.
