Great sushi. Awful service.
Worst customer service and is relatively expensive!. I went yesterday because I wanted to have some Sushi but since I had a Groupon coupon and was alone decided to make it a take away. I waited for about 30min and I was given my Sushi wrapped up. I gave them my Groupon coupon and the manager told me that I can’t do a take away with a Groupon coupon but only dine-in and this is fine if they didn’t tell me the last time that I can also make it a take away. We argued several minutes trying to explain to them what they told me last time but they denied that. And when I ask them why they wont let me take it, after all I have drove all the way to their place and waited 30min, the manger said that she can’t let me take it.One last question I have and that wasn’t answered is – Why wouldn’t you allow me to take it if you would allow me to eat here? no answer!I love Sushi but I guess I can have it in 41st Hibachi restaurant because I just don’t want to see that manager again or pay more.
A group of 7 of us went to dinner on a Saturday. The bartender was not trained and claimed it was only her 3rd day working. She was very overwhelmed and didn’t act like she knew much. A server came into bar area. Bartender asked her for help. The server looked at her with disgust and had a very negative attitude. Ubfortunately we had the server at our table as well. My friend asked server what veggies were in the veggie hibachi dinner and the server looked at her like she was annoyed and put off, flipping her hands like my friend should not be asking that. The server never once smiled at us and her posture told me she didn’t want to be working and was annoyed. The server also doubled charged me and my fianc for a glass of wine he paid for at the bar before being seated. We had to tell 3 people before it was taken off. Evidently the 2nd person we told didn’t understand English. We will NEVER go back! Service was beyond pathetic and food was just mediocre!
Disappointment. Take out tonight would have been great; however, they never answer the phone. I called four times tonight-business lost.
Dinner with the Wife. Dinner Friday 09-07-2012 at east 10th street restaraunt. We both had the Hibachi steak and lobster. Perfectly prepared. The staff were prompt and friendly. The Chef was entertaining, and the hot Sake with a Saporo beer on the side was excellant. 5 out of 5 stars.
Additional info. Also I forgot to mention, try the Japanese soda–it is a trick to open and comes in a glass bottle with a glass ball to seal it. Ask your waiter for instructions:) Definitely a place to go for adventure.20 Jun, 2012Good job. Excellent service. Excellent food. Enough to feed a hungry person. Clean facility and well-kept. Would highly recommend hibachi menu and plum wine-potent stuff but very sweet. I don’t like wine, my fiance doesnt drink any alcohol, but we both could drink this. Also, for those of you that prefer to be served at your table like normal dining, they have another side where you can sit and order like normal from the menu and they cook that food in back.
