Finally made it to the world famous Knuckle Saloon located in Sturgis South Dakota. Sturgis is home to the largest biker rally on earth each year. Just as important Knuckle Saloon is home to the legendary 1/2 pound Murtha Burger. This monster of a burger has been featured on several tv shows. The secret is it’s topped with homemade jalapeno jelly, cream cheese, and fried onion tanglers. Service was fast, very friendly, with awesome ambiance. This place is tops on a lot of people’s bucket list and I recommend with two Harley Davidson Boots up !

It’s like Vegas inside…. There are no clocks so you can’t tell how long the kitchen has left you waiting for your order.Went to the Knuckle for lunch on Sunday. Water was brought out to our party of 10 by a server who was still on the phone. Really? Couldn’t put the phone down?Order was taken promptly. And then, we waited.And waited.And waited some more.About 25 minutes later, we got more water, and the server told us that she saw our food in the kitchen.18 minutes after that, the server returned only after a member of our party approached her at the service window and indicated that he was leaving and wanted his order cancelled. We proceeded to question her as to why she wouldn’t have just been straight with us and told us the kitchen was shorthanded rather than leaving a party waiting nearly 45 minutes for food with only one visit from the server in the intervening time. She said half the food was ready. We asked her to bring it out.Funny, because two minutes later, three people came out with food for ten people.The food was passable, slightly above average for bar food. But the service was so far beyond atrocious that I would never in good conscience return, because that would be the equivalent of acquiescing to a staff that openly lies to its customers.If you’re slammed, you’re slammed. I get it. Just tell us that up front so we can leave if we don’t have 45 minutes to wait on your understaffed kitchen to make wings, salads, and burgers.Seriously, a little honesty goes a long way – which is precisely how far away I’ll be staying from The Knuckle.
