We have been going to Perico’s since it opened (2004?). We love it and have really never been disappointed. It’s clean and decorated in a bright and cheery decor. Food is on par with most Mexican resttaurants. Service is quick and servers are always friendly.
We love Pericos. The food is delicious and the owner and servers remember you every time you eat there. They go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. It’s the best Mexican restaurant around.
Local and family owned!. My family of 5 loves Pericos and we frequent them often. I enjoy good Mexican, great prices, nice portions, and friendly staff. The comments by others on here about rude staff confuse me as we have even seen the waiter out in town and he speaks. One waiter also jokes with my teenage daughter trying to teach her spanish! Love Pericos! I agree that the location is probably a reason that they are not much busier. But hey, I am happy to keep them to myself!
Good food, better prices, lousy service. Went back to Perico’s three times now. Was having a problem as the salsa and cheese dip at El Mezcal in Arlington was too spicy for my young daughters. Perico’s food I think is better than El Mezcal’s, their prices are much better. Cheaper booze and margaritas, however they do not have beer. Only down side to the place is that the service sucks! They are very slow, but as long as you do not mind calling your server over when you need something I think the food and prices more than make up for it
Good food, quiet and colorful atmosphere. It’s not Mexico – or at least not what I experienced in Mexico – but it is good food as Mexican in this part of the world goes. Portions are generous but not over-sized, and the food is always hot and tastes fresh. The staff is great…a very friendly extended family. We have been coming here since they first opened back in 2001 or so, and we keep coming back. They never seem very busy, but this is not because of the food or service. I don’t think their out-of-the-way location does them any favors. They are about a mile west of the center of Arlington, which puts them off the map for probably all except those that drive Hwy 70 in that area.
Love this place. Pericos is my favorite Mexican place! When I get home from college I HAVE to visit them. The staff is fun and they remember and get to know their patrons. The food is beyond a doubt awesome and prices reasonable. And the Margaritas are quite tasty 🙂 Oh and the decorations are precious.
Food tastes fine but service is lacking and the portions are tiny. They are never busy even on cinco de mayo so I guess their mistakes are catching up with them. Run some coupons and give portions comparable to el mezcal to revive or you will be gone soon.
